New! Model Analyser

Planmeca Romexis Model Analyser is a new licensed module dedicated for easy working with intraoral scans. The module allows direct capturing of intraoral scans and provides tools for visualising and analysing them as well as sending them to 3rd party service providers.

Main features of the module include:

• Direct intraoral scanning with Planmeca Emerald and Planmeca Planscan intraoral scanners
• Examination of digital models using predefined views such as frontal, right, left, rear, open bite, closed bite and multiple view
• Tooth width, arch length, as well as free measurements
• Dental model analyses such as Bolton and Space, and bite analysis using occlusal color map
• Sending of digital impressions to 3rd parties using Planmeca Romexis Cloud transfer service

3D imaging

Objects added to the 3D plan, such as implants and segmented anatomies, can be exported as one or separate STL files.

Objects, including now also implants and fixation pins, can be locked one by one in place in the plan.

Surface models in .obj format can be imported to Romexis Surface and Model Analyser modules.

Implant guide design

Implant guides can be designed for fully edentulous patients by using the mucosal surface created automatically from the scanned denture of the patient.

Optimal parameters for guide thickness, gap to teeth and gap to sleeve can be saved as presets for different 3D printers. Presets for Planmeca Creo, FormLabs Form2 and Stratasys OBJET EDEN260VS have been defined.

Implant planning

Fixation pins have been added to the implant library. Pins are used especially for fully edentulous cases for fixing the guide in place before placing the implants.
